An electric vehicle charging station is equipment that connects an electric vehicle to a source of electricity to recharge electric cars, neighborhood electric vehicles, and plug in hybrids. Level 1 equipment provide charging through a common residential 120-volt (120V) AC outlet. most Level 1 chargers can take 40-50+ hours to charge a BEV to 80 percent from emptyMost electric vehicles come with a 120v charger that works with a standard outlet.

A level 2 charger (Smart Chargers) allows you to charge your electric car 5 to 7 times faster for a full-electric car . These are typically fed by breakers such as double pole 50 and 60 amps. examples of smart chargers are Tesla, Blink, and Charge pointCharge time from empty to 80% can take 4-10 hours on tesla chargers. We can also install these as a 240 volt outlet and bypass the Charging station all together.

Surge protectors are an optional but important add-on that should be carefully considered whenever buying an EV is on the table. Surge protectors prevent electronics from being damaged by electrical surges often impossible to prevent. With that being said, We've seen EV batteries and the chargers themselves rendered inoperable and in need of replacements due to surges. Considering the staggering cost of Chargers and EV batteries, Surge protectors can a cheap way of protecting such investments. We offer them with every installation as an optional add on.
